Terms & Conditions

Policy: It has always been Victoria Regalia’s policy to treat our customers in exactly the same way we like to be treated ourselves. As with many of our customers we can’t stand the sight of small print, but it appears that not only to add to our creditability but to comply with new legislation (EC Distance Selling Directive) we are required to offer you our own 'large print' version. You should note that your statutory rights under the current consumer protection laws are not affected.

Data & Privacy: The information collected from you at the time you place an order (on you or those you gift to) will be stored in our database and is used purely to carry out your instructions and action your payment. There are no circumstances under which, this information might be passed to a third party, thus complying with the Data Protection Act 1998 – United Kingdom.

Supply: We undertake to supply you with the goods described in these WebPages or in our brochure by any date you might reasonably request knowing that our products have to be processed and posted. If you have an urgent order it is always advisable to discuss your requirement on the telephone 0131 225 3355 / or direct email enquiry@victoriaregalia.com. Some of our products are nearly always available for immediate despatch; those made to specific requirements may not be. Unless we have agreed otherwise, delivery will be as soon as possible, normally no longer than 45 days.

Contact: We will only contact you in connection with your instructions / orders. We will endeavour to keep you well informed should we have any difficulties providing you with the specific goods ordered or deliver date specified.

Delivery: Please note that we do rely on Royal Mail's postal service and Fedex courier (or other suitable carrier for overseas deliveries) to perform the 'contract'. We monitor the performance of our carriers continuously. Whereas we have so rarely had a complaint about the quality of our goods, there have been a very small number of occasions when due to circumstances entirely beyond our control our goods have not arrived by the requested time. Should you experience this please contact us immediately.

Shipping: The following charges, which are inclusive of VAT at 20% are applicable for deliveries to an address in the U.K. on the strict condition that the order is accompanied by a remittance in full for the total sum due, and is less than 2kg packed.

Up to £10.00 value - £2.50

£10.01 - £15.00 value - £4.00 (1st class Recorded)

£15.01 - £30.00 value - £5.50 (1st class Recorded)

£30.01 value and over - £9.75 (1st class Recorded / Fedex)

Parcels over 2kg (i.e cases etc ) but under 10kg will be charged at:

UK Mainland (excluding Highlands and Islands) - £10.00

Highlands and Islands - £17.00

In all other cases, including despatch to addresses outside the U.K., postage (or carriage) plus packing and insurance are charged additionally at current rates.

Guarantee: We feel confident that we can unequivocally guarantee your total satisfaction with our product and service. Again you should note that your statutory rights under the current consumer protection laws are not affected.

Refunds: You may return your goods within 30 days if faulty, you are unhappy with the quality or the product is different to what you ordered. In cases where the rejection of the goods is due to a defect or discrepancy in the order, you will be entitled to a full refund or replacement including the cost of returning the goods to us. The faulty or damaged product must be returned before the refund or replacement can be issued.

In cases where the rejection is due to an incorrect order from the Customer or to dissatisfaction, you will be entitled to a refund excluding the cost of postage and packing. Goods must be returned before the partial refund can be issued.

It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure returned goods are correctly packaged to prevent damage of goods. It is also advisable that you use a reputable delivery service that insures the goods and requires a signature on delivery.

For all custom made and/or personalised items, i.e. where you are specifying your particular Rank or Province etc, you must ensure that the items you are ordering are correct and appropriate to your needs. We are unable to credit or offer refunds on any items that have been specifically made and personalised to your instructions. You must confirm your requirements before we commence with manufacture. Please allow up to 8 weeks for custom made items. You will be notified if this timescale is to be extended.

Payment: Although our customers offer card payment at the time of placing their order, it is our policy not to action Credit Cards transactions until the day in which the goods are to be despatched. Payment online is through a secure PGP encryption site. We understand that card payments are not always practical, and some people just do not like them, therefore we offer the facility to post a cheque / postal order, directly, to ourselves (please note that we do place a hold on all ‘cheque’ orders until the cheque / Postal Order is received).

Prices: Any price is liable to alteration. If we discover a change we will advise you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming the order or cancelling it. Any changes in VAT rates will be applied as required by law. The right to request a deposit before putting any work in hand is reserved.

VAT: The prices shown are inclusive of 20% VAT when shipping to the United Kingdom. Should your order be from outside the United Kingdom please contact us directly for a proforma invoice as UK VAT rates are not applicable. It is the customer’s responsibility to comply with any specific import law at the product destination and to pay any import duties and local taxes.

Complaints: Well we don't have a procedure - because it has never got to that situation in over 25 years! Clearly we take any complaint very seriously and would expect to contact you by return.

Law and Jurisdiction: Any contract for your purchase from Victoria Regalia Ltd is governed by and has to be interpreted under the Law of Scotland, and you agree that such contract will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. Please note that we will not supply knives and lighter products to anybody under the age of 21. We do reserve the right to request identification.

Final Note: We suppose because we have always enjoyed an open and trusting relationship with our existing customers, it grieves us to have to write down what has just been mutually understood between us over so many years but we must move with the times…..
